Waterbury Recreation is offering an Overcoming Cabin Fever 2025 for spring 2025. Events are community-centered fun with room for creativity. For each event, participants can partake in part or all of the festivities.
All proceeds from each event support the Waterbury Recreation Summer Camp Scholarship.

February 15: Palentine's Day

In this an event celebrating friendship! Waterbury Rec hosts a get-together to make friendship bracelets, decorate cookies, and sip on non-alcoholic drinks from our drink bar. Opportunity to make many bracelets of all types for your friends.
Class is recommended for 10 years old and up and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Minimum class size is 6 people. If there are not enough registrants the week before, those who are registered will be notified.
*Cancellation Policy: Cancellations less than a week are not refunded, Cancellations with 7 and 30 days notification receive 75% refund, Cancellations with more than 30 days notice receive a full refund.

March 15: Irishing for a Treasure Hunt

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, Waterbury Rec is painting the town gold. Come celebrate with a treasure hunt for gold around town. Awards for best dressed leprechaun, most festive and green, and for hte treasure hunt winners at the end of the rainbow in the Steele Room. Treasure hunters will also enjoy a festive Baked Potato Bar at the award ceremony. Event is recommended for 6 years old and up and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

April 12: Spring Fling Outdoor Obstacle Course
2:00 - 4:00pm

Join us for an afternoon of spring fun where attendees will race in an outdoor obstacle course at Anderson Park, whatever the weather. Participants should be prepared for a muddy competition of crawling, jumping, and sprinting to the finish line. The event will end with warm food at the recreation building.
