Department Information
The Waterbury Recreation Department is part of the Town of Waterbury. We operate our department in partnership with other town departments, local organizations, and volunteers. We strive to have affordable programs while also supporting recreation and the outdoors in Waterbury. We know that recreation has a different meaning for everyone you talk with. Our Rec Department is proud to have a broad definition of recreation from indoor activities, to simply being outdoors, to advanced sports and athletic skill levels.
We have two full-time staff, Recreation Director Katarina Lisaius and Program Coordinator Katie Mandych. We do our best to respond to messages and emails in a timely manner, yet please know that we are often running the programs, maintenance, and clean-up for the department.
Park Hours:
Dawn to Dusk; and when lights are on at Anderson Park or Dac Rowe.
Pool Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
General Swim: 10am - 7:30pm
Adult Lap Swim: 7am - 7:30pm
Thursday
General Swim: 10am - 4:30pm
Adult Lap Swim: 7am - 4:30pm
Saturday
General Swim: 9am - 2pm
Adult Lap Swim: 9am - 2pm
*There is always one lane reserved for adult lap swim during general swim hours.
Afterschool Hours:
Bus Drop-off - 6pm
Summer Camp Hours:
8am - 5pm
