Community Gardens 2025
Today we're spreading hap-pea-ness!
There are The Town of Waterbury is proud to offer the community gardening spots for the growth of vegetables, fruits, and flowers.

Community Garden Registration goes live on May 1 at 9am. Our webpage is live to read more about the gardens, the process, and the changes in 2025. Reading the webpage early will help you prepare for registration, understand the plots locations and sizes, and know what you need to do to sign up.

In 2023 and 2024 the South Gardens flooded during the July events resulting in gardeners forfeiting their plots, harvests, and hard work. For 2025, the community gardens will all be located in the North Gardens.

To be able to accommodate interested gardeners, plots are 10X20, 20X20, and 20X40. We will also no longer allow gardeners reserving more than 20X40 unless there are no other reservations.

Once you've signed up, garden plots will be confirmed by May 13. The soil will tilled and ready around Memorial Day.
