Waterbury Recreation hosts the first annual Pumpkin Chucking Contest at Dac Rowe Fields.
To participate, athletes must bring one or more non-perishable food items to be donated to the Waterbury Common Market. No registration is required.
To compete, pairs will attempt to throw and catch a pumpkin the longest distance. The farthest successful throw wins a real turkey!
Pairs only advance to longer distances when they complete a throw. Incomplete throws are not counted and there are no re-dos. Pairs can consist of children, youth, and adults.
