Coach Chad Copeland:

Chad Copeland has given the past seven years to youth sports and the development of young athletes. Currently the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications at Northern Vermont University-Johnson, Copeland still holds a strong passion for the game of basketball. He has spent time coaching AAU through the state of Vermont and has worked numerous camps in Vermont and across the region. Copeland is a 2017 graduate from Castleton University, earning a Master of Science in Athletic Leadership degree and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration degree. Copeland was a standout athlete at Castleton University where he was a member on the men's basketball team from 2012-2017. Copeland played in 117 games, while starting 93 of those games. He ranks fourth all time in points with 1660, third in rebounds with 804 and fourth in blocked shots with 102. Copeland was a North Atlantic Conference First Team All-Conference Selection multiple times throughout his career. He earned Eastern College Athletic Conference First Team All-Star honors in 2017 and was a NAC All-Tournament Team selection in numerous seasons. Chad Copeland has spent time training with professional athletes and coaches. In his high school career, Copeland led Twinfield Union School to two State Championships in 2011 and 2012. He was ranked by the New England Recruiting Report as the #1 High School Boys Basketball player in the state of Vermont. He currently is the all-time leading scorer for boys' basketball at Twinfield Union School. Named to the North/South team and the CVL First Team — for the third time — and was a nominee for the McDonald’s All-America award as well as the Vermont Gatorade Player of the Year. In 2016-2017 Copeland was the Director of Athletics at Twinfield Union School.
